I just ordered my third pair of MBT shoes: the walking shoe in white. I also have them in black as well as the brown chunky sandals. I have 2 pairs of Skechers Shape Ups: a pair of trainers (or walking shoes) and a pair of the mary janes. The MBTs are typically more expensive but I have never paid full price. There are good online deals that make them only a bit more expensive than the Skechers. I did go to a local shoe store to determine which size MBT worked for me. Even local stores let you take them home and try them for weeks and then return them with no problem for a full refund. I walk on a paved path and for the first time in years I can do it with no knee pain at all in my MBTs. Although both brands claim to have the same sole construction, the MBTs seem more sturdy. In my Skechers my feet tend to tilt toward one another. That’s not bad at the gym where I ride a recumbent bike and do strength and resistance training, but it’s not good for a long walk. Both brands are comfortable for walking on concrete floors – running errands – but I think the MBT shoes come a lot closer to doing what they claim to do and my predicition is that they will last a lot longer.

I’ve had a pair of MBTs for several years. When walking our dogs, my husband often complained that I was walking too fast and that his knees hurt. He’s always been in great shape, cycles, surfs, golfs, but walking was difficult on his knees. I bought him a pair of MBTs this past Christmas (’09) and he has worn them every day. I didn’t notice at first, but it recently dawned on me that he is walking faster and stronger (no more complaining) and that I can barely keep up with him on our morning walks. Proof is in the walking!

These shoes are great. I’ve had them about a week and a half and I love them. I am a nurse and work long 10-12 hour shifts on my feet. My feet or back don’t hurt a bit since I started wearing these shoes. I can also feel them doing something to the muscles in my thighs and calves -hopefully working them out. They also don’t make my feet sweat like most other shoes do. I think they are worth the money.

I did not purchase my shoes online, but I hope I can still leave a review. I have suffered with rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years. I have worn orthotics from the podiatrist for most of that time. They can cost around $375.00(not all covered by insurance). This past year I had two foot surgeries on the same foot(five all together). My podiatrist suggested these shoes because they keep pressure off the ball of your foot. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I stand eight hours a day at my job and with these I can leave at the end of the day with no foot pain. They are tired yes but not painful. It is like walking on marshmallows. I don’t really care that they also tone my hips and legs. It is the pain free feet that do it for me!!!!

I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I can hardly walk down the block without crumpling in pain. Before I bought the shoes I checked out the website – pretty informative. Also my boss bought a pair. She loved them. I was sold. I can now go hiking for almost two hours without having to rest. I am noticing results even when I’m not wearing shoes. I love these shoes!! They’re expensive but worth it@
